Dr. Givens is a great visionary who in 1993 established the Prayer, Praise and Worship Centers of America, Inc. In 1998 he organized the Abundant Life Fellowship Church in Camden, SC and in 2008 led this aggregation of people in completing phase one of their nearly 2 million dollar building project. Dr. Givens presently provides guidance to the ministries who are members of the PPW Fellowship. At the passing of civil rights leader Dr. Benjamin Hooks, Givens was again called upon to provide leadership as the Logistical Director and Organizer for his funeral services in Memphis, Tennessee. As the world sat in despair at the execution of Troy Davis, Dr. Givens was called upon again to serve. He led in the logistical coordination of Davis’ funeral service in Savannah, Georgia. Dr. Givens also serves as a certified grief counselor and lends his gift when called upon.
Dr. Givens believes in ministry beyond the walls of the church and believes that the church is the empowering force for the people of the village.
